Good Cop, Bad Cop--What are we doing Here?

Thank you for your interest in the development of Good Cop, Bad Cop. Through these blogs, you will be updated on the progress of the games development. You will see the whole process, the ups and the downs, the challenges and the triumphant, and most importantly--all the fun had along the way.
Today was the first day we sat together as a team and decided on what kind of game we wanted to create. We were immediately drawn to two ideas. We knew we wanted in to be multiplayer with a group and some sort of element of roles each player would take on. After some initial brain storming we landed on an idea of having a specialized police force trying to work together to solve a crime. We knew we wanted someone inside the team to be behind the crime, an element of betrayal (gasp!).
With all this in mind, we began thinking of some different roles a police force might have, and what kind of abilities these people might have in the game. We thought about how we wanted the game to move and flow, and which parts we could enact digitally and which parts would be analog. After some lengthy discussion, we are positive we are going to create a fun game for you, the only question is, who will YOU trust?!
